Beautiful Ordinary Life Birthday Card

We always need birthday cards and I was excited to create this birthday card using the new Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite Collection. The papers are filled with soft pastel colours on one side and black and white contrast patterns on the reverse side, which coordinate so well together. The Bordered In Beauty stamp set and dies have so many beautiful borders and labels to choose from, to add something special to your projects. I love the black Floral Flight Accents to create a focal silhouette image and they make decorating your project so easy. Then of course there are the Array of Dots embellishments which are such pretty colours. Creating this card was so much fun!

I started with a Basic White card base, then added a layer of Basic Black cardstock to make the design on my card pop.
I created a basic layout with different layers of the Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper, then added the black floral arrangement. 

I stamped the scallops onto Basic White Cardsock and die cut them, then adhered them to the back of the Daffodil Delight Designer Series Paper strip, before adhering the strip over the stems of the floral arrangement using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the label from the Bordered In Beauty stamp set and then the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Banner Sayings stamp set, before die cutting with the coordinating label die and adhering to my card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped the butterfly border stamp onto Basic White cardstock, then die cut them. I went one step further and using fine tip scissors, fussy cut the individual butterflies, then shaped their wings with a Bone Folder and adhered them to the card with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I then decided to colour the butterflies with the Barely Blush Shimmer Brush.
I also added two Flirty Flamingo coloured Array of Dots Embellishments to the sentiment label.

I really love all the colours and patterns on this card with the silhouetted floral bouquet.
