I was invited to join a fun Card Swap Chain. It operates similar to a game we used to play as kids, where one person whispers a message to the first person, then the second person tries to remembers the message to pass onto the next person and so on. At the end after it being passed around the group, you usually end up with a completely different message.
It's a similar concept but with CASEing (Copying And Selectively Editing) cards. It was a lot of fun and so interesting to see how others in the group interpreted people's designs and made it their own.
In the first round, each of us designed a card and sent it on the next person on the list. That person then CASEd our card and sent it on to the next person on the list and so on, until it went all the way around the ten participants and the final version came back to the original creator.
The first card in this chain was created by Monique Fielder. My suggestion is that you start at her blog post, then click through the blog hop list, so you can see the evolution of the original design.
My card you see below was the 10th and final version of the original card created by Monique.
The card before mine that I was CASEing was a shaker card, so I too created a shaker card.
I used the Ornamental Christmas Bundle with the Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper to create a stylish and modern looking Christmas Card.
The Loose Gold Sequins were perfect for this shaker card and look awesome with the white embossed pine trees inside the bauble shaker.
Shaker cards are fairly easy to create using dies, as in this case, or punches, plus Window Sheets and Foam Adhesive Sheets.
Full product list for my card and direct shopping link can be found HERE.

Sometimes the cards in the Card Swap Chain change so much that if you only saw the first and last cards, you wouldn't realise that that they were on the same chain and been CASEd from the original card. For this chain the first and last cards are completely different.
