Rustic Centerpiece Sunflowers Card and other samples

You may have heard me say many times that I love rustic and vintage styles the most of any papercrafting style. Yes, I do create other styles too, but these are my absolute favourite. I love the distressing, the texture and the natural colour palette.

For my card this week I used the Rustic Centerpiece stamp set which is just perfect for the style that I love. In the set are three large red rubber stamps with gorgeous images that make it so easy to create beautiful handmade cards and projects.

For this card that I create on my weekly Facebook Live Creative Time, I used the sunflower stamp from the set and coloured the image with Stampin' Up!® Watercolor Pencils.

The image has been stamped using Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad onto Very Vanilla Cardstock, which had been die cut with the Textured Notes Dies.

After colouring the images I then used a Blending Brush with some Crumb Cake ink to blend ink around the edges of the Very Vanilla Cardstock to give a more rustic feel.

I also used a Blending Brush with some Crumb Cake ink to blend ink over the Painterly Pears Designer Series Paper, to alter the white base of the Designer Series Paper into a warmer tone.

The sentiment is from the Greetings For All Mix & Match Ephemera, which I altered with Crumb Cake ink using a Blending Brush and then a Sponge Dauber around the edges.

Watercolor Pencil colours I used:

Leaves: Old Olive & Garden Green

Sunflowers - Daffodil Delight & Pumpkin Pie

Vase - Basic Gray

Apples - Real Red & Cherry Cobbler

Log: Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry & Early Espresso
