Rustic Dining Room Card

Thank you for joining us for this month's Let's Craft Together Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from Australia who have developed a wonderful friendship through our love of stamping and admiration of each other's creativity.

Each month, one of us takes turn to set a blog hop challenge, where we share our creativity with others through our blog hops. Be sure to hop along to them all, for lots of creative inspiration. You will see the list of names below.

This month it was my turn to choose the theme for our monthly challenge, so I chose the Rustic style. Rustic themed projects are one of my favourites, as I love all the natural textures and colours of the rustic style. This photo is the one I chose as our inspiration, to be interpreted however the designer choses, to fit the theme.

For my card this month, I chose to be quite literal in my interpretation by re-creating a rustic dining room, inspired by the photo. It reminds me a lot of my beautiful big sister, who loves all things natural and rustic and has a similar style throughout her home. My sister will be the recipient of this special card.

This rustic card was a labour of love and uses lots of different products, with textures, ink distressing and little details. You can see the full Supply List link below.

I really wanted my card to look as close to the inspiration picture as I could, with the supplies that I had on hand.

I created some of my own pieces too, such as the ceiling light shade, table top, place mats, chair backs and I altered one of the dies in the Unbounded Love dies to create the pottery vase.

I love the subtle grey wood panelling on the back wall and the framed water coloured artworks. And how cute is that pottery vase of Queen Anne's Lace flowers!

This card was a lot of fun to create. I hope my sister loves it and that you have felt inspired by it too.
