Do you love Fun Fold Cards? This Z-Fold is one of the easiest fun folds to create.
You can use any shape for the front panel and insert panel, such as arches like my card below or rectangles, squares, circles or large label shapes.
I have kept this card very simple, using stamps and ink to decorate my front panel and insert panel. Using a two step stamp such as the Grateful Blessings stamp set, gave me to opportunity to add colour to the flowers quickly and easily. I just love the sentiments in this stamp set.
I've also added some green to the leaves with Stampin' Blends.
Using a Sponge Dauber around the arches elevates the panel from the background and creates a border without needing an additional layer of cardstock.
Of course every card needs ribbon and bling and just makes it so much prettier.
- To create the card base, you first cut a piece of cardstock lengthways to create a long strip.
- Score and fold it in half, then score the front of the card in half again and fold back on itself to create a "Z".
- Adhere your prepared layers, as seen in the measurements below.
- Die cut your arches, or shape of choice, making sure that both the outside shape and insert shape are the same shape and size.
- Stamp your sentiments and decorative stamps such as flowers etc and colour your images. Dauber ink around the edges.
- Adhere the insert panel centred inside the card.
- Next, close the card with the front panel folded back (in the Z shape) and position the external arch over the insert arch, so that it covers the insert shape. Apply adhesive to the external arch only where it will attach to the front fold back panel and adhere. See video below for tips on how to do this.
- Wrap some ribbon around the front fold back panel and tie in a bow.
- Complete your card with embellishment of choice.
