Texture, distressing, layers and lots of aged elements - all the things I love about creating a vintage themed project. The heritage colours too, they just make the project so beautiful.
Of course I just had to create with the new Beautiful Gallery Suite Collection, which lends itself so well to the vintage style. This suite is from the NEW Stampin' Up!® 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue that released on 6th May 2025.
The Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper is stunning and the designs in the paper pack are so varied. There are so many creative options with this paper.
I absolutely loved creating this card as I distressed the elements on a card with scissors, scrunching and ink. It's my favourite part of creating vintage cards.
The Crumb Cake embossed circle, just peeking through from behind the floral arrangement was die cut with the Spotlight on Nature dies, I then dry embossed it with the Damask Designs Embossing Folder and then applied Crumb Cake ink over the design and around the edges using a Sponge Dauber.
To colour the stamped floral bouquet, I stamped the image onto Very Vanilla Cardstock using a Pecan Pie Classic Stampin' Pad. I then used a Blender Pen to softly move some of the ink from the outline into the flowers to create a soft watercolour effect.
For the leaves I applied some Mossy Meadow ink from the Classic Stampin' Pad™ onto a Clear Block, then used the Blender Pen to pick up the ink from the block and apply it to the leaves. I was sure to first test the intensity of colour on scrap paper, removing enough ink from the felt pen tip before adding it to the leaves.
All of the die cut shapes had ink applied to them using a Sponge Dauber and various colours of ink. See the Product List for details of colours.
