Rustic Country Flowers Card

Thank you for joining us for this month's Let's Craft Together Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from Australia who have developed a wonderful friendship through our love of stamping and admiration of each other's creativity.

This month it was Michele Jutrisa who chose the theme of our challenge and she has chosen a Photo Inspiration Challenge based on the image below. 

We could choose to interpret the image, or elements of the image, however we chose.

I chose to highlight the rustic wood textures and colours of the barn as well as the bright coloured flowers. I love to create rustic themed projects, so this image really spoke to me and I loved creating this card.

I used the Country Flowers Stamp Set and Dies Bundle for this card, with the Country Woods Designer Series Paper. These products are part of the beautiful Country Woods Suite Collection from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue. 

First I stamped the pail, flowers and sentiment in Early Espresso ink and set aside to dry.

I then sponged Crumb Cake ink around the edges of the card base using a Sponge Dauber.

I distressed the Designer Series Paper layers using the scissor distressing technique, then scrunched and curled the edges slightly using my fingers.

The sentiment label was die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies and I sponged ink around the edges using a Sponge Dauber and Crumb Cake ink.

The flowers and pail were coloured using Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

Card Base - Crumb Cake Cardstock - 10.5cm x 29.7cm, scored and folded at 14.85cm

Layer - Country Woods Designer Series Paper - 10.2cm x 14.55cm

Layer - Country Woods Designer Series Paper - 9.5cm x 12.1cm

Layer - Country Woods Designer Series Paper (white) - 9cm x 10.5cm

Sentiment label - Crumb Cake Cardstock - 5.5cm x 5.5cm

Stamped images - Basic White Thick Cardstock - 6.5cm x 14.85cm

Leaves - Old Olive Cardstock - 6cm x 7.5cm
