Happiest Day Dragonfly Card

I love dragonflies! There's something special about them and I love anything that depicts them - fashion, jewellery, stamp sets, paper, embellishments etc. I love seeing them flying around the garden and the iridescent colours in their wings are truely amazing. 

How adorable are these little dragonflies on my card! I love the Happiest Day Stamp Set with all its little images and awesome sentiments and of course I had to have it because it has a dragonfly stamp. As well as the dragonfly there is a rainbow, sun, arrow corner border, small dotted border and stars background stamp, along with 6 sentiments and greetings.

Happiest Day Dragonfly Card

I paired the Happiest Day Stamp Set with the Stylish Shapes Dies, Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper and Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder.

To colour the dragonflies I used the two step stamping technique using the stamps included in the stamp set. I love the combination of the colours to tie in with the colours in the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper. 

The white cardstock layer has been embossed with the Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder, which gives the feel that the dragonflies are in the garden, flying amongst the flowers.

Card Base - Basic White Cardstock - 21cm x 14.85cm, scored and folded at 10.5cm

Layer - Basic White Cardstock - 10.1cm x 14.45cm, emboss with Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder

Designer Series Paper Circle - Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper - 7.5cm x 7.5cm, die cut with the 2nd largest circle

Summer Splash Circle - Summer Splash Cardstock - 6.5cm x 6.5cm, die cut with the 3rd largest circle die

White Circles - Basic White Cardstock - 6cm x 10.5cm, die cut the 4th & 5th largest circles, one of each

Sentiment Label - Pretty In Pink Cardstock - 4cm x 7cm

Dragonflies - Basic White Cardstock - 7cm x 10cm, stamp and fussy cut 2 dragonflies

Ribbon - Summer Splash Bordered Ribbon - 8cm
