Shepherd's Care Christmas Card

Thank you for joining us for this month's Let's Craft Together Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from Australia who have developed a wonderful friendship through our love of stamping and admiration of each other's creativity.

Each month, one of us takes turn to set a blog hop challenge, where we share our creativity with others through our blog hops. Be sure to hop along to them all, for lots of creative inspiration. You will see the list below.

This month Julia Quinn chose the theme of our challenge which is to CASE the new Mini Catalogue. CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) is when we choose a project and copy it, either in it's entirety, or by putting our own twist and flair into the project.

For this challenge I chose to CASE one of the projects on page 57 of the September - December 2024 Mini Catalogue, using the Shepherd's Care stamp set. I love this stamp set with it's beautiful imagery and sentiments.

I love the project on page 57 that shows the shepherd looking towards the ancient village in the distance, so I used that idea too and I coloured my shepherd in similar colours to the sample project, using Stampin' Blends.

I paired this stamp set with the Season of Elegance Designer Series Paper, using one of the Mossy Meadow/Old Olive pieces of the Designer Series Paper for the first layer. I love the painted textures with the addition of the gold in these papers. It's simply stunning.

I also used the Radiating Stitches Dies with Very Vanilla Cardstock to create the layer for the scene and did some gold embossing around the edges to frame the scene.

For the sentiment label I stamped the sentiment from the Shepherd's Care stamp set then die cut it with the small label die from the Something Fancy Dies. I then gold embossed the edges of the sentiment label and adhered it with some Stampin' Dimensionals.

I embellished my card with the new Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments, also from the new Mini Catalogue.
