Vintage Country Flowers Card

Welcome to our Craft Collaborations Blog Hop for our Technique Tuesday. We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from all around the world who love to share our love of cardmaking and papercraft with you. Each month the Crafty Collaborations group have the opportunity to join in many different blog hops and today's Technique Tuesday theme is Vintage.

Vintage is one of my favourite styles, so I was very excited to create my card for this blog hop today. I love the texture and distressing techniques that lend themselves to vintage style as well as the vintage colour palettes.

For my card I have chosen the Country Flowers Bundle with the Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue.

Vintage Country Flowers Card

For the layout of this card I used one of the card sketches on page 22 of the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue. It's a simple layout but it allows the Designer Series Paper and the focal images to really shine.

The Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper is in itself very vintage looking so it was perfect for this project. To age it even further I distressed the edges using my Paper Snips Scissors.

The white circle was die cut from the Spotlight On Nature Dies, which I inked around the edges using a Sponge Dauber with Moody Mauve ink. It really helps to lift the focal image from the busy background paper.

For the focal image I used the Country Flowers Bundle which I stamped in Early Espresso ink then coloured with Stampin' Blends and die cut with the coordinating Country Flowers Dies. The background foliage was also die cut with the Country Flowers Dies from Mossy Meadow and Old Olive Cardstock.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto Moody Mauve cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I bannered the ends of the sentiment strip using Paper Snips Scissors.

I embellished my card with 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim and Iridescent Foild Gems.
