Flowering Zinnias Book Binding Card

There are times in all of our lives when we need some cheering up or even just to know that someone is thinking of us. The Flowering Zinnias Suite Collection is a gorgeous suite of bright and cheerful Designer Series Paper, beautiful stamp set and coordinating dies, pretty embossing folder and colourful embellishments. Handmade cards made with this suite are sure to show someone that we care and brighten their day.

Flowering Zinnias Book Binding Card

I created this card using products from the Flowering Zinnias Suite Collection, colouring the flowers and leaves with Stampin' Blends and coordinating them with the gorgeous Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper. 

Instead of the usual landscape opening card, I added an extra score line and folded the front panel back on itself to create a book binding card. 

Decorate the card base as follows:

1. Adhere the narrow Basic White strip and Designer Series Paper strip to the book binding panel. 
2. Open up the card and run the ribbon around the inside and tie at the front of the card. Once ribbon is in place, adhere the book binding panel using Tear & Tape on the inside, to adhere the narrow panel closed. The remaining larger panel becomes the card opening.
3. Adhere the Basic White Layer, then the Designer Series Paper to the large panel.
4. Adhere the Petal Pink Deckled Circle using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
5. Stamp the flowers and leaves onto the piece of Basic White Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colour them with Stampin' Blends. 
6. Die cut the flowers and leaves with coordinating dies. Leave one set of leaves as is and cut the other set of leaves in half to create two separate leaves. 
7. Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere each of the flowers.
8. The leaves were shaped with a Bone Folder and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
9. Stamp sentiment onto Basic White strip, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Snip ends to form a banner, then adhere the strip across the flowers using Stampin' Dimensionals
10. Embellish your project with three green Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins.

Card Base - Petal Pink Cardstock - 29.7cm x 10.5cm, scored and folded at 12.35cm and 14.85cm

Layer - Basic White Cardstock - 2.1cm x 10.1cm and 11.9cm x 10.1cm

Layer - Designer Series Paper (Green Stripe) - 1.7cm x 9.7cm

Layer - Designer Series Paper (Melon Mambo Floral) - 11.5cm x 9.7cm

Circle - Petal Pink Cardstock - 9.5cm x 9.5cm, Die cut with Deckled Circle Dies

Flowers & Leaves - Basic White Cardstock - 14.85cm x 10.5cm - stamp 3 flowers and 2 sets of leaves

Sentiment Strip - Basic White Cardstock - 10.6cm x 2cm - Snip a banner in each end

Ribbon - 35cm
