Fluffiest Friends Picnic Card

Welcome to my blog today. We are blog hopping with Bruno and Kylie Bertucci's Demonstrator Training group today. After you have finished here on my blog, be sure to hop along to the other blogs in the hop for more awesome creative inspiration.

Recently I asked my followers which stamp set they would like to see me demonstrate. I gave them the choice between two stamp sets from the Online Exclusives and the Fluffiest Friends Bundle won the vote. I'm so glad it did because it is absolutely adorable and great for creating scenes.

In the scene on my card, the cute fluffy animals are enjoying a picnic together, under a tree with the bees buzzing as they make their yummy honey in their bee hive. The big fluffy bear is very happy with his huge honey pot of deliciously sweet honey. The cute lopped ear bunny looks so satisfied with her yummy pink cupcake and the little blue bird is very intrigued by the gerbil's bright red balloon. Perhaps he has never seen a balloon before. All the animals look very happy to be enjoying their picnic together.

Fluffiest Friends Picnic Card

I had so much fun creating this card on my weekly Live Creative Time on Facebook this week. I will use it to give to one of my customers to thank them for their order. You can see the video of how I made this card below.

I used four of the six animals from the Fluffiest Friends Stamp Set on my card and included some of the additional dies in the Fluffiest Friends Dies for the tree, leaves, bee hive and grass.

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured them with various Stampin' Blends colours. I was inspired by the amazing colouring of Patty Bennett that she had used on her Fluffiest Friends recently and though not exactly like Patty's, I think mine turned out pretty good. Thanks Patty.

I used Blending Brushes with Balmy Blue and Garden Green ink on a piece of Basic White to create the background. I then added the tree and been hive (which I had coloured with Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends) to allow for placement of the other images on the card front.

I die cut five grass pieces from the Fluffiest Friends Dies and adhered them along the bottom, slightly overlapping each one.

Once the animals had been coloured and die cut with the coordinating dies, I adhered them with Stampin' Dimensionals, stamped the bees and coloured them (I actually coloured the bees after filming because I forgot - oops).

When my scene was complete I then chose a base card colour, adhered my piece of Garden Walk Designer Series Paper and adhered the scene to the front of the card.

To add some bling, I added 3 small gold Festive Pearls.

I decided not to add a sentiment to the front of my card but instead added one on the inside with the Softly Said Stamp Set, which is also from the Online Exclusives in the online store.

I also added the flower stamp from the Fluffiest Friends stamp set and used a Blending Brush with Balmy Blue ink around the edges, before adhering my insert inside the card.
