A Bush Christmas Card

Thank you for joining us for this month's Let's Craft Together Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from Australia who have developed a wonderful friendship through our love of stamping and admiration of each other's creativity.

Each month, one of us takes turn to set a blog hop challenge, where we share our creativity with others through our blog hops. Be sure to hop along to them all, for lots of creative inspiration. You will see the list below.

This month's challenge is A Bush Christmas and was chosen by Annie Alexander. Annie chose this gorgeous image for our inspiration for this blog hop.

Here in Australia we celebrate Christmas in the summer and Australia is renowned for it's Aussie bush (in some countries it's called a forest), so I think this is a very Aussie Christmas theme.

Aside from the Aussie Bush full of Gum Trees (Eucalyptus), we have a native shrub here called the Christmas Bush which flowers around Christmas time. Along with the colours in Annie's inspirational image, the Christmas Bush is my inspiration for this card, with some Eucalyptus in the in background.

A Bush Christmas Card

For this project I used the Elegant Eucalyptus 3D Embossing Folder as the focal imaged on the Lost Lagoon Cardstock. To make the embossing really pop, I rubbed the Whisper White Craft Ink Pad across the cardstock. I then added some foliage in Pretty Peacock and Sweet Sorbet Cardstock which I die cut from the Timeless Arrangements Dies.

The Christmas sentiment comes from the Stars At Night Stamp set and was die cut with the Timeless Arrangements Dies.
