Each month, one of us takes turn to set a blog hop challenge, where we share our creativity with others through our blog hops. Be sure to hop along to them all, for lots of creative inspiration.
This month's challenge is a Sketch Challenge by Annette. I love sketches as they give you some direction for your project which can be very helpful to get you started.
For my project I have chosen to keep it really clean and simple to show how we can create a beautiful card in a flash, using a sketch for inspiration. This is particularly helpful when we are short on time (as I am at the moment), or if we get in a creative rut and need some easy inspiration to get us going again.
Night Divine Christmas Card |
I used Basic White Cardstock for my card base, then different pieces of the O Holy Night Designer Series Paper for the layers of the sketch. I love that there is such variety of designs in one pack of papers, making it really versatile for many different types of projects.
I wrapped a piece of the gorgeous Night of Navy and Gold Glittered Ribbon around the Designer Series Paper layers and card front and tied a knot at the right side. This adds an extra layer and interest to the card.
I stamped the beautiful sentiment from the Night Divine Stamp Set using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. I then die cut the sentiment using a stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes dies and mounted in on the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. To finish the card, I embellished it with gold pearls from the Festive Pearls pack. A very simple but effective Christmas card with a beautiful sentiment.
