Merry & Bright Christmas Scrapbooking Layout

Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing a fun scrapbooking layout with you. I don't do as much scrapbooking these days as I did 20 years ago, so I'm a little rusty, but I really enjoyed creating this layout that I am sharing with you today. 

Merry & Bright Christmas Scrapbooking Layout

I used the Merry Bold & Bright Suite products from the Stampin' Up!® September - December 2023 Mini Catalogue, to preserve some memories of our family's annual tradition of decorating our house with Christmas lights. 

Each year my family loves to celebrate Christmas and share the joy with others by decorating our house and creating a fun light display. We have many people come past to take a look and it's so lovely to see the delight on the children's faces when they see our house. I always think it looks like a gingerbread house. My two daughters and husband do a great job over many weeks of meticulously creating the display. It's a bit scary seeing them climb the long ladder to decorate the upper story pillars and also get up on the garage roof, so I try not to watch. Lol. What you can't see is that there is also a light pole out the front of our house and yes it get's decorated with lights as well. My clever husband and daughters worked out a way to get the lights all the way to the top without using a cherry picker. There is also a light-up present on the side fence and lights in the garden to the right of the driveway but you can't see them in these photos. Each year we try to add a little extra to the display. I wonder what it will be this year?

This Merry Bold & Bright Suite is so fun and colourful and just perfect with it's light globes for this layout. In the set are two shaped light bulbs so I chose the one that was most like the lights we decorate our house with and they looked great stamped on the layout in different colours. I ended up not using the dies in my layout but if I had more time I would have worked some of them into the layout. This suite would also be great for other celebratory events and the paper can be used for many different occasions as there are fun colourful non-specific designs on the reverse sides.

Photo mats - Blueberry Bushel Cardstock - Cut to size depending on size of photo, adding 2mm (1/8") border 

Sentiments - Basic White Cardstock - scraps
