Vintage Ranunculus Romance Card

You know I love vintage themed projects, right? I talk about it as my favourite style often. What better way to farewell the gorgeous Ranunculus Romance stamp set and dies, than with a vintage themed card.

You may have heard that Stampin' Up!® has a new 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue coming out soon (it's gorgeous - wait till you see it) and so, that means we need to make room for all the lovely new products.

Commencing on 4th April 2023, until 1st May 2023, Stampin' Up!® has the Last Chance Products sale of products that will be retiring, both from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue and from the Jan-April 2023 Mini Catalogue. Both at the same time!!! WHAT!!! You know what that means? Lots of AWESOME discounts and bargains for us all. Yay!!! The Ranunculus stamp set, Ranunculus Dies and Layering Circle Dies are on the retiring list, as are the colours I have used - Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand and Pear Pizzazz. That's right Stampin' Up!® are also having a Colour Refresh, so some of the current colours are leaving to make way for all the gorgeous new and returning colours. If you have missed all the news on this, be sure to subscribe to my weekly newsletter to stay up to date. You can click HERE to subscribe (and it's free).

Vintage Ranunculus Romance Card

I used a few different distressing techniques on this card - scissor distressing, tearing and ink distressing on every layer and element. I used Blending Brushes and Sponge Daubers to age all layers and elements on my card for the vintage feel.

The Basic White card base was ink distressed with Sahara Sand ink using a Blending Brush around all sides, then a Sponge Dauber around the edges.

I used Paper Snips Scissors to distress the edges of the pink Awash In Beauty Designer Series Paper, then used a Blending Brush to apply Sahara Sand ink all over the paper and a Sponge Dauber around the edges. I then bent and twisted the paper to crumple it slightly and adhered this layer to the card base.

I tore the edges of the Sahara Sand Cardstock layer, stamped the images from the Ranunculus Romance stamp set onto it, then used Sahara Sand ink with Blending Brushes all over the layer and Sponge Dauber around the edges. I adhered this layer to the Designer Series Paper.

The lace image was stamped in Pear Pizzazz onto Basic White Cardstock. I scissor distressed the two short ends, then ink distressed the entire piece as above with Sahara Sand ink and adhered it across the bottom of the Sahara Sand layer.

I die cut a circle in Blushing Bride cardstock and one in Vellum Cardstock with the Layering Circle Dies, then ink distressed as above and adhered the Vellum circle to the Blushing Bride circle. I then used Stampin Dimensionals to adhere the layered circles to the Sahara Sand Layer.

The floral image was stamped in Blushing Bride ink and the leafy image in Pear Pizzazz. I then used Wink of Stella Glitter Brush over the stamped images to give glittery effect. Once the Wink of Stella had dried, I brushed over each piece with Sahara Sand ink using a Blending Brush.

I die cut the floral piece and filigree piece in Basic White Cardstock, using the Ranunculus Dies and rubbed over with Sahara Sand ink using a Blending Brush.

I arranged the floral stamped images and die cut pieces on the circles and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment was stamped onto Basic White Cardstock, using Sahara Sand ink, then the ends were punched using the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. The label was then inked all over with Sahara Sand ink, using a Blending Brush and Sponge Dauber around the edges. I adhered the sentiment to the card front, overlapping the focal images with Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the left end and a Stampin' Dimensional on the right end.

A Linen Thread bow and Pearl Basic Jewels were added to embellish.
