Treasured Kindness Thank You Card

Have you ever seen a real Bonsai tree? They are so interesting and beautiful. 

Many years ago I had a few Bonsai in my specially made shade house that my husband built, at our old house. I loved tending them, trimming them & shaping them. I remember that I had a juniper and a maple tree, but I can't remember the others. The juniper was the hardiest and outlived all the others, but the maple was my favourite. Sadly, as I got busier with three young children, my poor Bonsai became neglected and eventually did not survive. Since then I have always loved them, but never really had the time to look after them. I probably would have time these days and maybe I will get another one, some day. 

I think my love of Bonsai started back when I was a teenager, when the first Karate Kid movie came out. My Miyagi (not sure of the spelling) had beautiful Bonsais, that he tended with lots of TLC. As I have had the love of Bonsai for many years, when I saw the Treasured Kindness stamp set in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue it automatically caught my attention. It has been sitting on my shelf for a while actually and this week, I finally got to have a play with it. I absolutely love it!!!

The Treasured Kindness Stamp Set is a two-step stamp set, which gives you the opportunity to layer your stamps for a more detailed effect. I also used the Framed Florets Dies for the oval frames and the Fabulous Frames Dies for the sentiment. The sentiments are beautiful kindness and appreciation sentiments that would suit many different occasions.

I used the sun stamp with the stamping off technique, to create my own background paper, using tone on tone stamping in Pear Pizzazz.

Measurements

Card Base - Soft Suede Cardstock - 21cm x 14.85cm, scored and folded at 10.5cm

Layer - Very Vanilla Cardstock - 9.9cm x 14.25cm

Layer - Pear Pizzazz Cardstock - 9.5cm x 13.85cm

Layer - Vellum Cardstock - 5.5cm x 13.85

Oval Frames - Very Vanilla Cardstock - 9.5cm x 10.5cm - the Framed Florets detailed oval die cuts both the oval frames and the inner oval at the same time.

Gold Oval Frame - Gold Foil Sheet - 8cm x 10cm

Sentiment Label - Very Vanilla Cardstock - 6cm x 2.5cm
