Framed Occasions In Color Card

Hi there. Welcome to my blog today. It's great to have you here. We are blog hopping today, which is always fun and I have a beautiful card to share with you. I just love this colour combo using the 2021-2023 In Colors.

Framed Occasions In Color Card

We are blog hopping today with Kylie and Bruno Bertucci's Demonstrator Training Program. We have lots of amazing inspiration for you in this hop. We are a group of Demonstrators from all around the world, who train together to learn how to grow and improve our Stampin' Up!® businesses. Each month we share in a fun blog hop together, to share our love of creativity with others and to inspire others to be creative too.

Be sure to check out all the other blogs in the hop after you have finished here, for lots of amazing creative inspiration. You will see the list below and can click on the names to hop along.

I am taking it back to the basics today with this card created with the 2021-2023 In Color inks, cardstock and the Framed Occasions stamp set, to create this simple all-occasions card. I just love this colour combo and am sad that these colours will be retiring very soon at the end of April 2023. The 2021-2023 In Colors are Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia and Pale Papaya.

If you love these colours be sure to grab them NOW because they are going to sell out FAST!!! Be sure to grab your Re-inkers for your ink pads too. That's really important if you want to keep using these colours in the future. You will find them in my online store and there is a link below to help you.

On my video I shared lots of great tips about the inks, Re-Inkers, Markers and creating your own Designer Series Paper and backgrounds. I even shared how you can create coloured cardstock using Basic White Cardstock and Stampin' Blends, or Blending Brushes with Ink, or using your Ink pads directly on your cardstock. It's so fun to play with your inks and see what you can create.

Ok, so onto my card. For my original card, I actually CASED a card from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue on page 33. I added an extra colour mat layer, changed the ribbon and added Rhinestone Basic Jewels. You can see it below and on my video.

Framed Occasions Card - CASED from the Annual Catalogue.

In today's card however, I changed it up by using the In Colors and changing the orientation of the card. So it is still a CASED card, but now it's a CASE of a CASE. Does that make it a double-CASE? Hahaha!

My viewers helped me choose the mat layer colours, ribbon colour, sentiment colour, card orientation and sentiment placement. I love it when my viewers help with me to create my projects. It makes it so much more fun and I think we had a great collaboration. I like this one more than my original to be honest, but that could be because I am a pink and purple girl.

Framed Occasions In Color Card

I stamped some of the images from the Framed Occasions stamp set diagonally across my card, using the 2021-2023 In Colors. Originally I had the cardstock in a portrait orientation when I stamped it, but then my viewers and I made the collective decision to rotate it to landscape orientation.
The sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen and the hexagon shape is stamped in Polished Pink.
For the sentiment mat layer, I demonstrated how you can colour your Basic White cardstock using Stampin' Blends, to create your desired colour of cardstock. I first die cut a hexagon from the Beautiful Shapes Dies to create a mat layer, then coloured it with two layers of the Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blend. If you don't have dies, you could just cut a piece of cardstock into a square or rectangle with your Stampin' Trimmer, or use label punches if you have them.

Die Cut Basic White Cardstock,
then Colour with your Stampin' Blends to create coloured cardstock.

This would be a great card to create if you had limited supplies or limited budget. It would also be great for a beginner stamper, or anyone really.
