Day at the Farm Accordion Fun Fold Card

I love the country! My parents were raised in the country and though my siblings and I were raised in the city, I think the country is in our blood. I love the beauty, peace and tranquility of the country. I always love getting back to my family's homeland. Although their area is mostly grapevines and fruit orchards, to get there we travel through many country areas where there are lots of rolling hills and livestock. I appreciate it so much more now as an adult as I think I did as a kid.

I really wanted to use the FREE Day at the Farm Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration to create a farm scene card, so I used an accordion fold card, which utilises a strip of 6" x 12" strip of Designer Series Paper. This Designer Series Paper is free with a $90 AUD purchase, until 28th February 2023.

The Day at the Farm Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration, coordinates with the On the Farm Bundle from the January - April 2023 Mini Catalogue. For this project however, I have only used the Designer Series Paper.

To the front of the folded card, I added a stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. To the circle I added some grass from the Palms Dies with a cow and a tree which I fussy cut from the Day at the Farm Designer Series Paper. I then stamped the Hey There sentiment from the Thanks A Bunch stamp set onto some So Saffron cardstock and die cut a label from the Stylish Shapes Dies. The white clouds are from the Give it a Whirl Dies.

The cow scene on the front was created to both decorate the front panel of the card and to keep the scene flowing when the card is standing to be displayed.

On the inside of my card, I added more sheep, pigs and cows that I had fussy cut from the Day at the Farm Designer Series Paper. I also added another cow and a tree to the reverse side of the stitched circle, to continue the scene on the inside.

On the reversed side of the Designer Series Paper I added two Basic White cardstock panels, die cut with the Deckled Rectangles Dies. This is where you can write your message to the recipient and you can also add a stamped greeting here if you choose.

Measurements

Card Base - Pear Pizzazz Cardstock, 14.85cm x 10.5cm

Designer Series Paper - Day at the Farm (Sale-A-Bration), 30.5cm x 14.25cm. Measuring from left side of paper on your paper trimmer, score at 20.5cm, 12.5cm & 4.5cm. Fold as an accordion on score lines so that the largest panel can be adhered to the base, as seen in images above.

Stitched Circle - Basic White Cardstock, 7.5cm x 7.5cm

Clouds - Basic White Cardstock, 5.5cm x 5.5cm

Sentiment label - So Saffron Cardstock, 4.5cm x 2cm 

Grass - Garden Green Cardstock, 10cm x 3.5cm (cut 2) Adhere to circle, then trim excess.

Animals - Cut from Designer Series Paper - 3 large cows, 4 small cows, 2 large sheep, 1 large pig, 2 piglets, 2 dark green trees and 1 light green tree.

Message panels - Basic White Cardstock, 7.5cm x 10.5cm (cut 2), die cut with 4th largest Deckled Rectangle Die.
