Adorable Owls Hoot Hoot Card

Yesterday during my Live Creative Time video I created this really gorgeous owl card. How cute are these owls!!! I love owls and think they are such majestic and amazing birds, so when I see an owl stamp set I just have to buy it. These owls, though a different colour, remind me of the owls I have seen at night time, sitting quietly on my clothesline.

To create this card, I used the Adorable Owls stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. It's a FREE stamp set that you can choose with a $90 AUD order, until 28th February 2023. I stamped the owls in Early Espresso ink, then coloured the images with Stampin' Blends. After colouring, I cut them out with my Paper Snips scissors.

One little owl is sitting on a branch from the Perched In A Tree stamp set, die cut with the Aspen Tree Dies. The leaves were created with Basic White Cardstock , die cut with the the Aspen Tree Dies, then coloured using light and dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.

The sentiment label was created with the Cloud Punch. I used a Sponge Dauber and Early Espresso ink to sponge ink around the edges.

The background clouds were created using the Into The Clouds Embossing Folder, which was then blended with ink, using a small Blending Brush with Balmy Blue, then Tahitian Tide ink.

Every card needs some bling as I always say, so I finished off my card with some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Card Base - Granny Apple Green - 14.85cm x 21cm, scored and folded at 10.5cm

Mat Layer - Early Espresso - 14.25cm x 9.9cm

Cloud Layer - Basic White - 13.95cm x 9.6cm, embossed with Into The Clouds Embossing Folder

Branch - Basic White - 12cm x 4cm

Leaves - Basic White - 7.5cm x 5cm 

Sentiment - Basic White - 7.5cm x 5cm, punched with Cloud Punch

Owls - Basic White - 13cm x 6cm - stamp two owl images, colour then fussy cut
