Dainty Delight Kindness Thank You Card

I can't get enough of the Dainty Delight Stamp Set and Dies and the coordinating Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper and I just couldn't wait to share my latest card with you. My absolute favourite crafting style is vintage and I just love all the distressing, layering and the texture. So when I saw these products I knew I had to make a vintage themed card.

These gorgeous new products will be available in the Jan-April 2023 Mini Catalogue and Jan-Feb Sale-A-Bration. As a Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator I had the opportunity to order them early when I attended our Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator annual Onstage event recently. There are so many ideas I have for these products, but here is my latest card.

Dainty Delight Kindness Thank You Card

To create my vintage card, I started with a card base of Old Olive Cardstock cut to 21cm x 14.85cm, scored and folded at 10.5cm.

I then used an Old Olive piece of the FREE Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper from the Jan-Feb 2022 Sale-A-Bration brochure, to create a layer measuring 10.1cm x 14.45cm. I ink- distressed the edges using a Sponge Dauber and Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad.

The embossed layer was created by die cutting Crumb Cake Cardstock with the Deckled Rectangle Dies, then dry embossing with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. I then used Crumb Cake ink and a Sponge Dauber all over the embossed surface to age the piece and make the embossed images pop. I also inked the edges using the Sponge Dauber and ink.

Next, I created the decorative oval frame, using the Framed Florets Dies, by cutting the  oval out of the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper. Then, using Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad and a Blending Brush, I blended the ink all over the Designer Series Paper and used a Sponge Dauber with Crumb Cake ink around the edges. This gave the decorative oval an aged effect.

I used the Dainty Delight Dies to cut the leaves from Mossy Meadow and Old Olive Cardstock and ink distressed them with the Crumb Cake ink and a Sponge Dauber, then layered them on the left side of the oval. The three small leaves were later added to the sentiment label.

I created the label by stamping the sentiment from the Dainty Delight Stamp Set in Crumb Cake ink onto a 2cm strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock and punched the ends using the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch.  I popped it up on Stampin' Dimensionals to add some dimension to my card.

The Natural Woven Ribbon has also been distressed with Crumb Cake ink using a Sponge Dauber, then I tied a bow and frayed the ends and adhered it with a couple of Mini Glue Dots.

I finished off the card with some brass coloured Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots and added some Wink of Stella to the flowers on the Designer Series Paper.
