Wildflower Path Card

Hi there. It's great to have you visiting my blog. I have a really beautiful floral card for you today which includes some fun techniques, to create texture and interest on the card.

Wildflower Path Card
I am participating in Bruno and Kylie Bertucci's Demonstrator Training Program monthly Blog Hop, with other Demonstrators from around the world. We are all training together to learn how to improve and build our Stampin' Up!®  businesses. Each month we hop together to share our projects and offer you some amazing creative inspiration. Our theme for these hops are Thank You cards.

After you have finished here on my blog, be sure to hop along to the other Demonstrator's Blogs for more awesome projects. You will see the list for this hop below.

When I first saw the Wildflower Path stamp set, I knew it was one that I would add to my stamp stash. I love that there are so many different elements in the set that can work together and of course, I love all things floral. I knew it would make pretty cards.

The note card sample on page 106 of the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue really caught my attention and I knew that I had to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) it. And CASE I did! Of course I made a few of my own edits to the original design.

Instead of a note card like the sample card, I made a standard size card. I cut the Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper to the same size as the Mint Macaron card base, so it was easy to adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I stamped the Thank You sentiment onto a Crumb Cake Cardstock sentiment strip, using Evening Evergreen ink and punched the ends with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. I then stamped my floral images onto Shimmery White Cardstock in Evening Evergreen and Blushing Bride inks.

Use a Blending Brush to add ink to your embossing folder
I then used a Blending Brush to add Mint Macaron ink to the Elegant Eucalyptus 3D Embossing Folder. Be sure to add it the side with the Stampin' Up!® logo. I then placed my stamped Shimmery White Cardstock face down onto the ink, carefully closed the embossing folder and ran it through the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

Use a Water Painter and Mint Macaron ink to splatter ink onto your card
I then stamped some Mint Macaron ink onto a clear block and used a Water Painter to drop some water onto the ink to dilute it. I then picked up some of the diluted ink with the Water Painter and tapping it with a Marker, splattered ink onto the focal image layer.

Next, adhere the card front, to the Crumb Cake layer, wrap some White Baker's Twine three times around these layers and tie a bow at the left side. Using Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere the layered card front to the Designer Series Paper. Add your setiment with Stampin' Dimensionals to the right of the bow and finish off with three Pool Party coloured Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems.
