Water colouring with the Kindest Gnomes

Hi there and welcome to my blog today. I have a super cute card to share with you today. Here's a little thumbnail sneak peek, but scroll down for a larger view.

I am participating in Bruno and Kylie Bertucci's Demonstrator Training Program monthly Blog Hop, with other Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we hop together to share our projects and offer you some amazing creative inspiration.

You know how you see a stamp set and know straight away it's one you need to have? Well the Kindest Gnomes stamp set was that stamp set for me! It comes with coordinating dies too which makes it even more fun to play with. It's from the new July-December 2022 Mini Catalogue and is so super cute. I love garden gnomes and these little gnomes also remind me so much of my Smurfs I had as a kid (in fact I still have my collection).

Did you know that this month, July 2022, is World Water Colouring Month? What better way to celebrate than to coordinate water colouring with my current favourite stamp set.
Water colouring with Kindest Gnomes

I had so much fun creating this card today on my weekly Facebook Live Creative Time.
My card was originally inspired by Tina Wardell of TinasCraftyInkSpot.com, though I changed it up quite a bit to make it my own, as I usually like to do.

Using my Water Painters and Shimmery White Cardstock, I die cut my frame then did a water colour wash background in Balmy Blue and Old Olive using my wide brush. I set that aside to dry while I water coloured my mushroom house and cute Gnome using the fine and medium tip Water Painter brushes. I had pre-die cut some little toadstools and the grass. Once my images were dried, I assembled them on my card, popping up some of the elements on Stampin' Dimensionals for that added dimension. See full product list below.

If you would like to see how I created my card, you can watch the video replay below:
