Eye of the Tiger

Today's blog hop with the Crafty Collaborations group is all about music.

Music is all around us in many forms, every single day and so we are using music as our creative inspiration for this hop.

My projects today are inspired by the classic 80's song Eye of the Tiger by Survivor, released in 1982 which was also featured in the Rocky III movie, with Sylvester Stallone. Not that I am a huge Rocky fan, but the song reminds me of my young teenager years, when I was just starting to take an interest in music.

In my projects today I have featured the tigers from the In the Wild Designer Series Paper. This paper has beautiful prints of tigers, cheetahs and forest foliage. This paper is from the In the Wild Suite, which will be retiring soon with the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. Currently this paper is on sale at 50% off in the Last Chance Product Sale.

The large printed tiger images are easy to fussy cut with Paper Snips, but also coordinate with the Big Cats Dies, for those who don't like fussy cutting.
I layered the Evening Evergreen Shimmer Vellum onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock to highlight the colour and so that the vellum was not opaque through to the foliage Designer Series Paper. I wanted the tiger to really stand out.
I love the texture of the Evening Evergreen Chevron Weave Ribbon and the 2020-2022 In Color Square Gems, which sadly will both be retiring soon and also currently on sale.
The sentiment I used comes from the Beauty of Friendship Photopolymer stamp set.
