Vintage Quiet Meadow Card

Hi and welcome to my blog today.

The vintage style is my favourite style of projects to design. I love all the layered elements, the distressing techniques, lace, ribbon, embellishments and the old world look of vintage. Of course I also love florals, so any vintage project I create has to incorporate florals.

I created this card for our recent Team Swap with my Papercraft Gems Team. This was our very first Team Swap so I wanted to create something really special.

I used the Quite Meadow Bundle, which just suits the vintage style so well. Isn't it just a gorgeous bundle? If you haven't seen it yet, be sure to check it out. On a side note, did you know that when you buy the Stamp Set and Dies as a bundle you save 10%. Great value, right?

Below are some photos of my design process. This was only a small swap this time, being that is was our first team swap, so there were only four cards that I needed to create.
Hopefully more of my team will join in on the next swap, now that they can see how it works and how much fun we have with it. Swaps are so great.

Here are all the project pieces and products that I used.

For my original card, I used a lighter wood paper, then quickly realised I wouldn't have enough left for the other three cards, so I switched to a darker wood paper.

This is how I lay all of the die cut leafy images.
I then coloured and fussy cut the flower blooms.

I then inked all the pieces with Sponge Daubers and Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pads, then positioned all the elements on the cards.
When working on several projects at once, it saves time to construct them in a production line, working on one piece at a time.

And here they all are completed.

The photo below is of one of the cards with the darker wood paper.

I absolutely loved creating these cards. I hope you have enjoyed taking a look at my projects and I hope it has inspired you to get creative with your next project. If you haven't tried creating with the vintage-look using these techniques, give it a go. It's really fun and the projects turn out beautifully.
