Parisian Forever Blossoms

Well today on my Facebook Live I made a beautiful card using products from the Parisian Blossoms Suite. After trying to "fix" some technical issues, I accidentally deleted the entire video. Oh dear! We are all imperfect humans after all.
So after much frustration, I thought instead I would blog about my card that I made.

A few days ago I discovered a lovely layout by the very talented Connie Stewart of Simply Simple Stamping on her You Tube channel. (I highly recommend checking out her videos). 
I thought that this layout would work so well for my friends who were coming to visit on Saturday as they are new to card making, so I designed my card and changed a few things to Connie's original card. 
The ladies were all so pleased with their beautiful card that they had made.

Today I thought I would change it up yet again for my Facebook Live, using some of the new Parisian Blossom Suite products from the 2020 Mini Catalogue. So here is the card I made.

Products and Measurements

• Card Base - Petal Pink Cardstock - 21cm x 14.85cm, scored and folded at 10.5cm
• Embossed Layer - Pool Party Cardstock - 14.4cm x 10cm
• Small layer - Petal Pink Cardstock - 11.4cm x 7cm and small scrap
• Stamped layer - Thick Whisper White Cardstock - 11.4cm x 7cm
• Ribbon - 1/4" (6.4mm) Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon - 18cm
• Forever Blossoms Stamp Set
• Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder
• Champagne Rhinestones
• Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad
• Stampin' Blends - Petal Pink Combo
•                            - Granny Apple Green Combo
•                            - Ivory
• Classic Label Punch

Instructions - 

1. Using Crumb Cake Stampin' Pad, stamp Cherry Blossoms onto Thick Whisper White Cardstock.  

Set aside to allow ink to dry.

2. Using Crumb Cake Stampin' Pad, stamp Friend sentiment onto Petal Pink scrap. 

3. Punch out sentiment with Classic Label Punch, aligning sentiment to right side of punch. To create smaller punched shape, feed the punched label back into punch slot and slide to the left to punch the desired length. Set aside.

4. Emboss Pool Party Cardstock using Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder and Die Cut and Embossing Machine. If using a Big Shot, you may need the Blue Embossing Plate.

5. Wrap ribbon vertically around Pool Party Cardstock, 2cm from left side and adhere ends on reverse side of Pool Party.

6. Using Tear & Tape adhere Pool Party Layer to Petal Pink Base.

7. Colour floral image as desired with Stampin' Blends, highlighting shaded area and centre with darker colour and blending out with lighter colour. Use Ivory for branches.

8. Adhere Whisper White stamped layer to Petal Pink small layer, off-setting the Whisper White layer approx. 0.7mm at top and left side of Petal Pink layer. 

9. Using Dimensionals, adhere the small matted layers to card front leaving an even border of Pool Party on each side.

10. Using Mini Dimensionals Adhere Friend sentiment to bottom right corner of Whisper White layer.

11. Finish card off by adding Champagne Rhinestones to the centre of the four large blossoms and add an insert inside card if desired.

Note - Using the dies, you could step up this card one step further by stamping and colouring a second Cherry Blossom bloom, die cut it with the coordinating dies, then adhere it over the top with Dimensionals. Beautiful. Perhaps I will do that on my next card.
