Beautiful Rooster

We usually associate roosters with the loud cock-a-doodle-do at the crack of dawn, but have you ever actually looked closely at a rooster and noticed how beautiful they are with all their beautiful and varied colours they have in their feathers? I know I hadn’t. Well that was until yesterday anyway.
Well, when I went to colour a stamped image of a rooster for the very first time yesterday, I had to look on Pinterest to see what colour a rooster actually is and WOW! So many colours!!! I was blown away by their beauty. Who knew?

I was playing with the very lovely new Home To Roost Stamp Set that is available as a FREE item until 31st March 2019 during the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration period. When you spend $90 or more on any catalogue products you can choose this or one of the many other FREE products from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. Who doesn't love FREE products?

- Did I mention our new Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalogue? Full to the brim of gorgeousness! You NEED to see it! Ask me for your copy today (if you live in Australia).

Of course the rooster is fitting for a country style card, which I love because I could do lots of ink distressing and use natural twines, trims and buttons. Oh, how I love buttons.

The Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper is from the new 2019 Occasions Catalogue and comes in a 6"x6" pack of 5 beautiful colours with large check on one side and small check on the other side.
The colour I used was Grapefruit Grove.

I coloured the rooster using various colours of our awesome Stampin' Blends.
I used the Crackle Paint stamp for the background, also found in the 2019 Occasions catalogue.
Doesn't it stamp well? Looks just like crackled paint.
The Rectangle Stitched Framelits are also in the Occasions Catalogue and come in a huge set of many sizes.

Do you like country style themes? Do you like roosters and chooks? Let me know in the comment box below. I'm just loving this Rooster.
