Christmas is coming!

Well, Christmas will be here before we know it. Time to get started on this year's Christmas cards.

In the school holidays just recently, I presented a workshop at a retirement village to 5 lovely older ladies. Some of  them had never seen Stampin' Up products before. They were so excited by everything Stampin' Up! and we spent a long time going through the catalogue together.

They loved the projects that we made together and the products I demonstrated and highlighted.
It was such a lovely morning.

Here is what we made:

Peace on Earth Christmas card and Mini Pizza Box Christmas Gift Box

This card was inspired by Jari Francis of Card-iology.
I changed Jari's original colours scheme to the traditional festive colours of Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Whisper White.

We used the Be Merry Designer Series Paper, Carols of Christmas Stamp set and Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies Bundle, Layering Circle Framelits Dies and Stitched Framelits Dies.
We embellished with Gold Natural Trim Ribbon, Rhinestone Basis Jewels and Wink of Stella brush on the trees to give them some sparkle.

For the cute Gift Box we used the Mini Pizza Box from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue.

These little gift boxes are great for small gifts such as jewellery, sweets, store gift cards, tea light candles, scarves, handkerchiefs, etc. See my photo below.

We decorated the top of the box with the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper and Basic Black Cardstock.
To embellish the box we used the beautiful 7/8" Striped Ribbon to form a large bow at the top of the box and then created a double layered tag.
The tag was made by using the Just for You stamp from Merry Little Labels Stamp Set, embossed in White Stampin' Emboss Powder and cut out with the Layering Circle Framelits Dies.
We then used Dimensionals to layer the greeting onto the Crumb cake cardstock tag which had been punched both ends with the Scalloped Tag Punch and we added a Jute Twine bow to the top of the tag, using a Mini Glue Dot.
Using Glue dots we then adhered the tag to the centre of the Striped ribbon bow and a Stampin' Dimensional under the bottom of the tag.
Lastly we added a festive Green Sprig which was glued just under the loop of the bow.

The box fits 4 tea light candles perfectly for a lovely Christmas gift.
