Happy Birthday Gorgeous!

Happy Birthday Gorgeous!

I've created another card using the Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.
I just love this stamp set and wanted to demonstrate how you can achieve a different look using the same stamp set. Today's card is a very different look to my previously posted tag card, showing just how versatile this stamp set can be. I've gone with a more modern style this time which uses a lot of white space, with classic black, grey and a pop of colour.
I love the cute little flowers in this set, as well as the many choices in greetings and the little banner. There are also two balloon stamps for creating a fun celebration card.

I searched Pinterest for some different ideas for this set and came across so many that I loved. I chose to CASE (copied and selectively edit) a beautiful card from Narelle Farrugia inspired by a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches designed by Kim Singdahlsen.

I made a few subtle changes to Narelle's original design, using Pink Pirouette and Rich Razzleberry Ink for the flowers, Smoky Slate for the leaves, Fresh Fig Sheer Ribbon and added a Smoky Slate mat boarder. I also changed the greeting and used a slightly smaller circle framelit die.
For the background splatter I used the now retired Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.

I mounted some of the flowers and leaves with mini dimensionals and added a cute bow to the bouquet. I punched out a banner in Whisper White cardstock using the Banner Triple punch and added a boarder of Basic Black cardstock. Of course no card is complete without some bling, so I used some Rhinestone Jewels in the centre of the flowers.
